Dr. Saeed is an academic nephrologist and a palliative care physician who is passionate about living a meaningful life. His research program focuses on improving dialysis decision-making for older adults. Dr. Saeed also studies the nuances of physician-patient communication, health care utilization and health-related decision making in clinical contexts of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and cancer. He practices both nephrology and palliative care at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he helps older patients with CKD with dialysis decisions, quality of life discussions, and end-of-life planning.
